Nugget Deluxe F5 with "The Gibson" on the headstock.

Nugget F5 that has been through a lot of hands over the years. Bought by Don Julin in the early 2010's, it was recently sold to Jason Wheeler, mandolinist for Fauxgrass.

Of notable history, this mandolin has exhibited a great deal of play wear that was present on the instrument when purchased by Julin from Gruhn's guitars in Nashville. According to Julin:

"I can tell you thing, when you enter a jam session with this mandolin, you will be noticed, first by the sound, next by the name on the headstock, followed by a long discussion of why Nugget would have done that. The discussion ends every time with "that's a really good mandolin"."

Spruce Top - Satin Brown/Orange/Yellow Sunburst

Triple binding, Ivoroid/Black/White, headstock front and back.
